It is alarming to hear from the CDC that the percentage of children with obesity in the United States has more than tripled since the 1970's. Today, about one in five children age 6-19 are obese. Children with obesity are at a higher risk for other chronic health conditions and diseases, are more often bullied and teased, and are more likely to suffer from social isolation, depression, and lower self-esteem. You can start your students on the road to a healthy lifestyle with Mission: Health, a fun and interactive e-learning program for grades K-8. Students will learn how to establish healthy habits, increase physical activity, and avoid childhood obesity. Through online lessons and activities, and offline classroom activities, students learn how to eat right, stay fit, and feel good about their bodies.
