Student Success: Act Now! 6th - 8th Grade

Designed for individual sixth through eighth grade students needing a Tier II or III targeted behavioral intervention, this course gives students the opportunity to self-educate and discuss information and strategies in relation to their bullying behaviors. Using the online lessons, games, and videos from the Act Now! student curriculum to reinforce content and provide real-world scenarios, students will identify the school-wide expectations for all students, reflect on their own behavior, describe ways to repair the harm caused by bullying another person, and develop an action plan for their success going forward. 

Delivery Method

In this intervention specialist-facilitated course, the delivery method is blended, utilizing a combination of online lessons and activities, and offline reflection activities.

Target Course Length

The target course length is approximately 1 hour, including time spent completing online content, and time spent offline on discussions, student reflection, and completing the Student Success Guide.

Objectives

After completing Student Success: Act Now! 6th-8th Grade, students will be able to:

• Identify the school-wide expectations for all students.
• Reflect on times when they followed school-wide expectations and times when they did not.
• Define bullying.
• Describe some ways to repair the harm caused by bullying another person.
• Develop an action plan for their success going forward.
